Andrea and I traveled with our friend Julia to Jordan during their post-exam break two weeks ago. We spent three days exploring the ancient stone city of Petra and sleeping in the cave of a local Bedouin guy named Ghassab. It was our first experience couch-surfing and my first experience filming in the desert. It was a fantastic few days hiking through the valleys and exploring the caves pock-marking the mountainsides. Scenic filming is an intense challenge and desert vistas are uniquely difficult to capture. My newest film, "Petra: City of Stone" attempts to capture the surprisingly brilliant colors of the Jordanian desert and features music by fellow Minnesotan Adam Young of Owl City. Enjoy.
